기도학교 4: 기도로 하나님을 붙잡아라 (출애굽기 4:10-17)
Hold On to God Through Prayer

 기도합시다. So, let us pray.
만일 이런 메시지를 들으면 여러분은 어떤 생각이 드십니까?

1 너무 좋다 It is so good.
2. 바라고 원하던 바다. It is exactly what I hoped for and wanted.
3. 부담스럽다.It feels burdensome.
4 어렵다. It is difficult.

1. 기도는 부담이 아닌 '하나님과의 인격적 교제'입니다

많은 성도들이 기도를 무겁고 어려운 의무나 기술로 생각하여 기도의 자리를 피하려 합니다. 그러나 기도는 사람들 앞에 멋지게 말하는 기술이 아니라, 하나님 앞에 내 모습 그대로를 솔직하게 꺼내어 놓는 인격적인 대화이자 사귐입니다.

1. Prayer is not a burden, but a 'personal fellowship with God.'Many believers view prayer as a heavy, difficult duty or a skill, and thus tend to avoid it. However, prayer is not the skill of speaking eloquently in front of others. It is a personal conversation and fellowship where we honestly lay down our true selves before God.

2. 기도는 내 한계를 인정하고 '하나님을 경험'하는 자리입니다

모세는 하나님의 부르심 앞에 "말재주가 없다", "보낼 만한 사람을 보내소서"라며 자신의 연약함과 익숙한 과거(광야)에 갇혀 변화를 두려워했습니다. 그러나 하나님은 그를 책망하지 않으시고 동행의 약속하였습다. 기도를 통해서  "나는 죽고 예수로 사는 순종"을 배우게 하셨습니다. 기도는 내가 누군지 증명하는 자리가 아니라, 하나님의 살아계심을 온몸으로 만나는 사건입니다.

2. Prayer is a place where we acknowledge our limitations and 'experience God.'

Faced with God’s calling, Moses was trapped in his weaknesses and familiar past (the wilderness), fearing change as he said, "I am not eloquent," and "Please send someone else." Yet, God did not rebuke him; instead, He promised His companionship. Through prayer, God taught him the obedience of "I die, and Christ lives in me." Prayer is not a place to prove who we are, but an event where we encounter the living God with our entire being.

3. 기도를 통해 '하나님의 꿈(비전)'을 보게 됩니다

기도하지 않으면 내 형편과 상처만 보이지만, 기도하면 성령께서 부어주시는 하나님의 가능성과 비전이 보이기 시작합니다. 기도는 나 중심의 작은 지경에서 벗어나 우리를 향한 하나님의 크고 넓은 계획(하나님의 사이즈)으로 우리의 삶을 확장시키는 통로입니다.

3. Through prayer, we see 'God's dream (Vision).'

When we do not pray, we only see our own circumstances and hurts. But when we pray, we begin to see God's possibilities and visions poured out by the Holy Spirit. Prayer is a channel that takes us out of our self-centered, narrow boundaries and expands our lives into God's great and wide plans—"God’s size."

 Ⅱ. 삶을 가꾸는 구체적 적용점 (Application)

1. '예쁜 기도' 대신 '정직한 기도'로 시작하기

실천 사항: 기도할 때 문장을 멋지게 꾸미려 하거나 거룩한 척 행동하려는 부담감을 내려놓으십시오. 오늘 내 마음의 두려움, 염려, 심지어 모세처럼 "저는 못 하겠습니다"라는 솔직한 고백까지도 하나님 앞에 가감 없이 쏟아내는 '대화'의 기도를 하루 5분씩 시작해 보세요.

1. Start with an 'Honest Prayer' instead of a 'Pretty Prayer'

Action Step: Lay down the pressure to phrase your sentences beautifully or act overly pious when you pray. Take just 5 minutes a day to start a conversational prayer, pouring out everything to God without filtering—including your fears, anxieties, and even honest confessions like Moses: "Lord, I cannot do this."

2. 내 능력에 갇히지 말고 '하나님의 능력' 붙잡기

실천 사항: 직장, 가정, 교회에서 내 힘으로 감당하기 힘든 일을 마주할 때 "나는 입이 둔한 사람"이라며 뒷걸음질 치지 마십시오. "누가 사람의 입을 지었느냐"고 물으시는 창조주 하나님을 기억하며, 나의 한계를 인정하는 그 자리에서 나를 포기하지 않으시는 하나님의 손을 기도로 붙잡으십시오.2. Do not be trapped by your own ability, but hold fast to 'God's power'

Action Step: When you face overwhelming challenges at work, home, or church, do not shrink back saying, "I am slow of speech." Remember the Creator God who asks, "Who made human mouths?" In that very place of acknowledging your limitations, hold fast to the hand of God, who never gives up on you, through prayer.

 3. 기도의 제목을 '나'에서 '하나님의 비전'으로 넓히기

실천 사항: 언제나 나와 내 가정의 문제에만 머물러 있던 기도의 울타리를 깨뜨리십시오. 이번 주간에는 교회의 지체들, 이 세대와 이 땅의 회복, 그리고 하나님께서 내 삶을 통해 이루고자 하시는 '하나님의 꿈과 사명'을 위해 단 한 줄이라도 기도제목을 쓰고 선포하며 기도의 지경을 넓혀 기도해 보시기 바랍니다.

3. Expand your prayer requests from 'Me' to 'God's Vision'

Action Step: Break down the walls of prayer that have always been confined to yourself and your own family. This week, try writing down and declaring at least one prayer topic for the members of your church, the restoration of this generation and land, and the 'dream and mission' God wishes to fulfill through your life. Let us expand the horizons of our prayers.

[금주의 기도] "주님, 제가 여기 있습니다. 내 작은 믿음과 한계를 깨뜨려 주시고, 기도를 통해 하나님을 깊이 경험하게 하소서. 내 형편만 보는 눈을 들어 하나님의 꿈과 비전을 보게 하시고, 기도로 하나님을 끝까지 붙잡는 삶이 되게 하옵소서!"

[Prayer of the Week] "Lord, here I am. Break my small faith and limitations, and let me deeply experience You through prayer. Lift my eyes from looking only at my circumstances to see Your dreams and visions, and grant me a life that holds fast to God until the end through prayer. Amen
